西北大学外语学院教授、院长，英美文学、英汉（汉英）翻译理论与实践方向硕士生导师，戏剧影视翻译与跨文化研究博士生导师、西方文化与翻译研究所所长。现任民建中央文化委员会委员，中国翻译协会理事，陕西省翻译协会会长，第十二届西安市政协委员，陕西省外国文学学会副会长，陕西省作家协会会员，陕西斯诺研究中心主任。
Language Services China 40 (LSC40), a 40-expert forum founded in 2017, integrates language service resources among companies, universities and institutes at home and abroad
aiming to fulfill collaborative innovation between industrial and education sectors and to offer solutions for cultivating language service talents. LSC40 has been devoted itself into the language service capability building and research for the “Belt and Road” actively, with a view of effectively promoting the healthy and orderly development of language service industry in China.
