北京大学外国语学院院长、教授、博士生导师；北京大学区域与国别研究院常务副院长。
研究领域为俄语语言文学，同时关注俄罗斯问题研究及外语学科建设与人才培养。主持和参与多项国家级及省部级研究课题；发表著作、译著及学术论文六十余篇（部）；主编和执行主编若干教材和学术研究丛书。曾获北京市哲学社会科学优秀成果二等奖；北京市高等教育教学成果一等奖、国家级教学成果二等奖。
新一届教育部外指委委员、俄语分委会副主委；《中国俄语教学》杂志副主编；中国高校外语学科发展联盟副理事长；中国高校外语慕课联盟副理事长；中国俄罗斯东欧中亚学会副会长，中国俄罗斯东欧中亚学会俄语教学研究会会长；欧美同学会留苏分会第七届理事会副会长等。Language Services China 40 (LSC40), a 40-expert forum founded in 2017, integrates language service resources among companies, universities and institutes at home and abroad
aiming to fulfill collaborative innovation between industrial and education sectors and to offer solutions for cultivating language service talents. LSC40 has been devoted itself into the language service capability building and research for the “Belt and Road” actively, with a view of effectively promoting the healthy and orderly development of language service industry in China.
